Jazz and Dinner Clubs in Atlanta, Georgia

With a rich history in American jazz and home to one of the largest free annual jazz festivals in the country, Atlanta, Georgia's ample jazz crowd has provided the basis for a number of jazz and dinner clubs throughout the city. From extravagant, sprawling lounges to intimate little dinner clubs, Atlanta has venues that will please jazz lovers of all kinds.

Dante's Down the Hatch is an extravagant recreation of an 18th century sailing ship tied to a wharf in an old world Mediterranean setting. All within a three-story building, Dante's incorporates multiple levels of balconies, cabins, decks, and interconnected rooms for lounging and drinking. The decor is elaborate and features imported antique memorabilia--there is even a moat surrounding the area with live crocodiles. Live jazz plays every night of the week, with a characteristically laid back, lounge sound. Trios or quartets usually feature piano, drums, bass, and vocals. The Dante's Menu features a variety of appetizers and fondues as well as a selection of fine wines and cocktails. Dante's also has desserts, including its signature chocolate fondue.
